DeVonta Smith Presented With Heisman At Alabama Spring Game
Alabama’s 2021 Spring Game – the A-Day Game – was played in front of over 47,000 Crimson Tide fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday (April 17), reportedly the biggest crowd to see a sporting event in over a year.
While the 2021 Alabama squad scrimmaged to a 13-10 finish, the Tide’s 2020 seniors were also honored and the outgoing captains were celebrated with a ceremony cementing their legacy.
DeVonta Smith, the 2020 Heisman Trophy winner, was a two-time Tide captain and the huge crowd served as a fitting setting for another presentation.
Heisman Trust Associate Director Tim Henning was on hand to present Smith with the Heisman Trophy that will reside within the Alabama Athletic Department.
Smith, of course, already has his trophy following the virtual Heisman Trophy ceremony in January.
But Saturday, he got to hold up the famed hardware in front of almost 50,000 Alabama faithful.
Click here to see Smith receive the trophy that will be nestled safely in Tuscaloosa along with previous Heismans earned by previous Tide winners Mark Ingram (2009) and Derrick Henry (2015).
