Super Bowl Heisman Highlights: Jim Plunkett completes his comeback

Jim Plunkett was the second Heisman winner to win a Super Bowl MVP award. The 1970 Heisman winner from Stanford threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Oakland Raiders to a 27-10 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XV in 1981. The Raiders were the first wild-card team to capture the Lombardi Trophy.

The championship performance capped a remarkable comeback for Plunkett, whose career up to that point had not lived up to its potential. He would go on to lead the Raiders to another Super Bowl victory in 1984, making him one of just two Heisman winners (along with Roger Staubach) to win multiple Super Bowl titles.
