Ricky Williams rushed 37 times for 150 yards as Texas beat Nebraska, 20-16, in a huge upset on the road in Lincoln.
1992
Gino Torretta completed 28 of 40 passes for 363 yards and three touchdowns in Miami’s 35-23 victory over West Virginia.
1987
Tim Brown totaled 173 all-purpose yards and one touchdown as the Irish beat Navy, 56-13. This win lifted Notre Dame’s record against Navy on Halloween to 3-0, with a combined scored of 144-20.
1981
Marcus Allen rushed for 289 yards on 44 carries — both career highs — and scored four touchdowns (three rushing, one receiving) in USC’s 41-17 defeat of Washington State.
1970
Jim Plunkett completed 13 of 26 passes for 210 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions as Stanford beat Oregon State, 48-10.
1964
John Huarte completed 10 of 17 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns as Notre Dame blanked Navy, 40-0. Roger Staubach, who won the Heisman in 1963, completed 19 passes for 155 yards.
1959
Easily the most famous Heisman moment on Halloween as Billy Cannon‘s 89-yard punt return sunk No. 3 Ole Miss, 7-3. Cannon rushed 12 times for 48 yards in that game and had three punt returns for 120 yards. Here’s a video look at the game:

John Lattner wasn’t much of a factor in this one, which saw Notre Dame beat Navy, 38-7
1942
George defeated No. 10 Alabama, 21-10, as Frank Sinkwich completed 17 of 33 passes for 230 yards and one touchdown while also adding 36 yards and one score on the ground.
1936
Yale lost to Dartmouth, 11-7, making Larry Kelley‘s Heisman-winning season the only one to feature a loss on Halloween.
