Heisman Trophy winners Marcus Allen, Tony Dorsett, George Rogers, Charlie Ward and Danny Wuerffel joined Habitat for Humanity and Nissan last week to build a real “Heisman House” alongside future Atlanta Habitat homeowner Ms. Shannon.
This is the fifth consecutive year Nissan has collaborated with Heisman Trophy winners to help build a Habitat home. The legendary athletes and soccer legend Pavel Pardo also led youth football and soccer clinics in collaboration with Nissan and the Heisman Trophy Trust. The clinic and build culminated Habitat’s first nationwide campaign, Home is the Key, which ran throughout April, gathering corporate sponsors, celebrities and Habitat homeowners across the country for activities and build events. In addition, for every share of #HomeIsTheKey on social media, Nissan donated $1 to Habitat, up to $250,000, all month long.
