Week 12 of the 2018 college football season is in the books. We’re just one week away from the mailing of Heisman ballots.
Time for our traditional weekly feature that rounds up the latest Heisman news and updates from around the media world.

The Buzz
— Ranking the Heisman candidates from Bleacher Report, Sports Illustrated, and Fansided.
— While Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa remains the consensus favorite, the race appears to be tightening. Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt says Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray is the Heisman favorite. His Fox colleague Tim Brando agrees, as does The Big Lead.
— Murray’s new website, KylerKnows.com, is an ode to the Bo Jackson catch phrase “Bo Knows”. In launching the site, Murray added a send up of a famous Bo photo:
— WSU’s Gardner Minshew’s 7 TD performance against Arizona has him in the Heisman conversation.
— Pete Dawkins reflects back on his magical Heisman season.
— Lamar Jackson shined in his first NFL start this past weekend.
NFL Heisman Update
Mark Ingram rushed for 103 yards and 2 TDs on 16 carries as the Saints crushed the Eagles, 48-7.
Lamar Jackson passed for 150 yards and rushed for 117 as he sparked the Ravens to a 24-21 victory over the Bengals in his first NFL start.
Cam Newton threw for 357 yards and three TDs on 25 of 37 passing, but it was not enough for the Panthers to top the Lions. Detroit beat Carolina, 20-19.
Marcus Mariota was 10 of 13 for 85 yards and an interception as the Titans were buried by the Colts, 38-10.
Derrick Henry rushed for 46 yards on 9 carries in the Titans loss.
Jameis Winston threw for 199 yards and 2 TDs on 12 of 16 passing but the Buccaneers fell to the Giants, 38-35.
