Bleacher Report covered what Jalen Hurts’ latest exploits against UCLA did for his Heisman chances.
And Fox’s Bruce Feldman tweeted a major Sooner first for Hurts.

The Comeback eyes Alabama freshman RB Trey Sanders Heisman look after his highlight reel TD run Saturday. Associated Press recapped Sanders’ teammate and Heisman contender QB Tua Tagovailoa‘s latest big game as he threw for a career-high 444 yards in the win over South Carolina.
Saturday Tradition covered Ohio State QB Justin Fields’ first road start, which went just fine at Indiana.
BurntOrangeNation eyeing Texas QB Sam Ehlinger and whether he might break all the Longhorn passing records.
Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence wasn’t flawless reports Bluffton Today, but still threw for almost 400 yards in the Tigers’ win at Syracuse while running back Travis Etienne had a modest 76 yards on just 14 carries.
The Saturday Blitz makes the case for Oklahoma State RB Cuba Hubbard to enter the Heisman discussion after his second 200-yard game of the year.

In former Heisman trophy winner news, Tony Dorsett received one more accolade to his storied career this past weekend, getting inducted into the Hopewell High School Hall of Fame.
Heisman NFL Update
Lamar Jackson completed 24 of 37 passes for 272 yards and two scores and rushed for an incredible 120 yards while Heisman teammate Mark Ingram gained 47 yards on the ground as Baltimore moved to 2-0 with a win over Arizona. They sent 2018 Heisman winner Kyler Murray to his first loss despite his 25-of-40 passing performance for 349 yards.
Jameis Winston led Tampa Bay to a 2-0 start, completing 16 of 25 passes for 208 yards and a score with a win over Carolina. Winston got the better of Cam Newton, who completed 25 of 51 passes for 333 yards.
Tennessee, with Heisman winners Marcus Mariota and Derrick Henry, was close to a 2-0 start, too, before falling to Indianapolis. Mariota was 19 of 28 for 154 yards and a score while Henry rushed for 81 yards on 15 carries and one TD.
Baker Mayfield will have the spotlight tonight as Cleveland visits the Jets for Monday Night Football.
