Video: Earl Campbell’s road to glory
Earl Campbell was one of the great running backs in college football history. In 1977, he rushed for 1,744 yards to lead Texas to an 11-0 regular season and a No. 1 ranking. For his efforts, he became the first Longhorn to win the Heisman Trophy.
Check out this video on how Campbell — nicknamed ‘The Tyler Rose’ — bounced back from an injury-plagued and disappointing junior year to serve as the catalyst for his team’s memorable season.
