Video Spotlight: Tony Dorsett switches to fullback, runs wild vs. Penn State
For 22 years, Pittsburgh tailback Tony Dorsett held the NCAA record for career rushing yards with 6,082.
Interestingly enough, the final 224 of those (on 38 carries) came when he was switched to fullback against Penn State in his last regular season game on Nov. 30, 1976.
The above video highlights the game and Dorsett’s contributions to Pitt’s long-awaited 24-7 victory over the Nittany Lions.
