There’s lots of buzz this week about the Alabama – LSU matchup in Baton Rouge on Saturday. Some are comparing it to previous “Games of the Century” in college football history.
But 74 years ago, with World War II raging, the original “Game of the Century” was played as Army faced Navy in one of the most-hyped games of all time. Army was 8-0 and ranked No. 1, while Navy was 6-2 and ranked No. 2.
