Video: Ty Detmer wins the 1990 Heisman Trophy

This fall marks the 25th anniversary of the Brigham Young quarterback Ty Detmer‘s 1990 Heisman season. That year, Detmer set a Heisman record for total offense (5,022 yards) that still stands.

Detmer will be honored at this year’s Heisman dinner, along with USC’s Mike Garrett, who won the Heisman 50 years ago this fall.
