What does the Heisman do in the offseason?
While most people know the Heisman Trophy for its long and rich association with college football, the Heisman Trophy Trust primarily functions as a charity organization dedicated to helping underprivileged and underserved youth nationwide.
The Trust has supported hundreds of organizations and their charitable missions over the past 15 years. Since 2004, the Trust has made donations in excess of $7 million to over 200 charities whose work has positively impacted thousands.
In addition, the Trust annually recognizes sports figures who share this mission through its Heisman Humanitarian Award.
