The 2018 college football season is finally here.
Although eight teams got things kicked off this past weekend, the bulk of the teams will see their first action in games that start Thursday and run all through Labor Day Weekend.
That means the race to select the 84th winner of the Heisman Memorial Trophy — perhaps the most prestigious individual award in all of sports — is officially on.
As usual, we’ll be here to follow the latest happenings in the Heisman world, while delving into the treasure trove of the trophy’s history to help bring some context to the performances of current players. It’s a season-long conversation that will culminate with the awarding of the Heisman Trophy on December 8th.
So buckle up, it’s time to play ball!
