Two-way Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, along with his fellow 2024 Heisman finalists and fellow top-10 vote-getters, will visit Indianapolis this week for the 2025 NFL Combine.
Colorado’s Hunter will be one of the most hotly debated players among the 329 invited to this year’s combine. Players begin to arrive today in Indianapolis for various medical exams, team interviews, media obligations and other meetings. The actual workouts are set to run from Thursday to Sunday (Feb. 27-March 2) at the Colts’ Lucas Oil Stadium.
Not surprisingly, Hunter is listed among both the defensive backs and the wide receivers, though whether he participates in both position workouts remains uncertain. If Hunter, expected to arrive Thursday, works outs as both a DB and a WR, he would be the first to do so at an NFL Combine.
Defensive backs are scheduled to work out on Friday between 3-9 p.m. (ET) while wide receivers go Saturday between 1-9 p.m. Workouts are set to be broadcast live on the NFL Network.
Hunter will reunite with Heisman finalists Ashton Jeanty (Boise State), Dillon Gabriel (Oregon) and Cam Ward (Miami) in Indianapolis. Five of the six other top 10 Heisman finishers will also be at Lucas Stadium, including fifth-place ASU running back Cam Skattebo (ASU), seventh-place Penn State tight end Tyler Warren, eighth-place Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, ninth-place Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke and 10th-place Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord.
Among those, Jeanty and Sanders have decided not to participate in workouts and will focus on their team meetings and other off-the-field commitments.
The lone player who finished in the Heisman Top 10 that is not working out this week is sixth-place finisher Army quarterback Bryson Daily, who is getting ready to start his military career as an infantry officer upon his graduation this Spring.
Two Heisman top 10 finishers from the 2023 balloting are also scheduled to participate, including sixth-place Jalen Milroe (Alabama) and seventh-place Ollie Gordon II (Oklahoma State).
The 2025 NFL Draft is set for April 24-26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc.
